I'm getting a man room/study at the end of Jan when our extension is finished. Not big, but big enough.

I've got world of tanks on the PC, but looking for a new gaming challenge. I've had a PS3 for years and played battlefield, home front, killzone for my FPS and gran turismo 5 for my driving.

I'm looking for a new challenge and with the xbox on out, I can pick up a 360 cheap and work through the Xbox games which will be nice and cheap.

Top of my list are Forza 4, halo (what versions are on the 360??) and gears of war. Are there any other good games out there? And anything I should look out for?

What headphones do you recommend? I have a gaming headset with USB and 3.5mm connection, will that work?
 
Go for it you can get the first Halo on 360 they have remastered it with new graphics, the only game that Ive played through three times :banana:
Halo 4 is worth getting as well
Its worth getting the xbox just for gears the first 2 are my favs, 3 still excellent but the latest one is pants
turtle beach headsets are excellent not sure about your headset
 
I've been reading up on the headset and it looks like a no go as a straight connection. It appears if I want to use headphones, I need to use HDMI to the monitor and then use the TV connector thingy and use the RCA output to convert to 3.5mm socket, but apparently the level is too low so needs amplifying. I think I can use my gaming headphones to do this as they are USB powered so hoping there is an amplifier in there. I am hoping the power can come from the xbox's USB port.

Alternatively I can connect the output of the xbox to the input on my PC and use my headphones through there which will allow me to mix in my own music :)
 
Playing The Last Of Us again on PS3 at the moment, hope you've ticked that off, and the HD remaster of ICO which is amazing.
 
i spent far too much time playing trials hd...

absolutely brilliant game, the epitome of 'one more go' to beat your friends time on the leaderboard.
