tips for shooting my own wedding?

I would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to SimonTALM, who very kindly offered to shoot our wedding in september.

simon was extremely professional and a true gent, and to top it off, he has taken the most amazing photographs, from our day. simon has captured of day perfectly all emotion has been caught, and very atmospheric, and has given us the most perfect of gifts, we cant stop looking at the photogrpahs truely brilliant i cant say enough fantastic things about simon and of course lee who was simon's 2nd shooter to you both thank you so very much

if you want a professional, friendly and highly skilled wedding tog i would look no further than simon

relax...if you cant afford a separate photographer...then dont be so fussed about results
lots of memorable shots are better than missed well taken shots...thats irish

we let a friend video our sons wedding...and criticised the hell out of the clips...but hey..we had the day to ourselves and never missed a chat or drink

its your day...your memories will beat any photos and they only act as a catalyst to those memories

relax and enjoy

You are very welcome - I had a great time helping Simon out and was honored to be a part of your day.

I hope the photographs give you many happy memories for years to come.
 
I know of someone who shot their own wedding .... on large format 5"x4"!
