Tips for resizing

Hi guys

This was going to be something else but when I checked out the picture prior to posting here I see that it looks pixellated. I dont understand because the image was much sharper before I resized it to get it onto here. How can reducing the image size make it more pixellated? Hey ho..

Apart from that would you mind letting me have your thoughts on the shot? I took it with my Canon 80mm 1.8 lens which I am having trouble getting used to.

It looks like you've saved the image with a quality of only 5 in photoshop. A quality of 12 is ideal, however, I don't like to drop below 10.

What software are you using to resize your images? this is terribly compressed to the point that it look like it's and image that's been up scaled from a very small image
