Tim Peak's Flickr Page

Wow!

Not too many folk with Aurora pics from that angle eh.

Love that link,
Thanks for posting.

He's updating his Flickr photostream from orbit! Excuse me for a moment while i recover from a geek swoon. That's an extraordinary development of camera technology and communications infrastructure since the first astronauts with their Hasselblads who had to wait till they got back down to earth to take the rolls of ilm to the chemist.

I wonder which cost more money, the development of the technology necessary to get people safely off planet and back again, or the development of the modern digital camera? I'm sure the development of the world wide web cost an awful lot more than the space effort.

I have been following him on Facebook too and it is kind of cool that he is posting stuff and then actually taking the time to reply to some people's comments.

I wasnt aware there was a flickr stream, thanks. The selfie with Earth in his visor is the one I would have on the wall if I were him.
And the Aurora.
And the...

He doesn't seem to have added any new pics for a few days. :(

Come on Tim, update please. Anyone would think you were busy doing stuff up there!

Great link! I just think it's phenomenal that this is even possible. I get all the technology etc, but it is still amazing. I was also telling my kids how amazing that we were looking at the moon & there are men up there, they looked at me like I was mad! In a way I think it's kind of sad that kids don't find these things amazing & we can see Tim's photos instantly, or that we even expect this & people get annoyed when you can't or he hasn't posted for a couple of days!

I have found myself watching the ISS OnLive app over the last couple of weeks and like @Ferj above, am slightly amazed by what technology can achieve. This shows the current position above the earth and has the choice of a couple of cameras, one looking straight down at earth and the other inside the ISS. Round the earth every 90 mins or so, so many sunrises and sunsets, at incredible speeds. Fascinating snd amazing.

He's certainly got some view from his office window hasn't he. Awesome.
