It is very sad indeed! ..... It's also very sad when anyone dies doing their job..... including military of whatever side.
 
One of the most poignant pieces you'll read: his last tweet. Especially when you see how little he used Twitter.
 
What makes one follow war and danger to take pictures? A dedicated man and a love of his work for sure.
 
Sad news about the loss of Tim and Chris. Very brave men, I certainly couldn't do that job.
 
Did anyone see the film "Restrepo" co-directed by Tim??? Absolutely outstanding docu-film, a real eye opener, and so heart wrenching I nearly shed a few tears :|:| Its still my favourite to this day. I highly recommend it.
 
At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember him, RIP Tim/Chris you will be missed.

It's very sad.
They have left a legacy of images to keep the memory alive.
 
Missed this thread but have just been looking at his images and reading the Tim Hetherington article in last weekend's Sunday Times Magazine.
 
Very Very sad, my thoughts are for those he has left behind and long may his images continue his work. x
