I've been thinking of ways to try different things in photography, recently over the holidays been thinking shooting some stills that is more cinematic and besides an anamorphic lens I've read that a Pro-mist filter is useful, but not cheap.

Anyone here have one and do you recommend it? 1/8th? 1/4th?

Black Pro-Mist or regular Pro-mist?

thanks

I use the Moment Cinebloom (?) filters. Or is it Cinesoft......? No, I'm sure it's 'bloom!

10% and 20% - nice for foggy conditions esp woodlands & night stuff & I used the 20% all day today for some village shots for a new little project type thing I've started. The 20% is usually too strong but I don't want a perfect image for this project so wasn't too worried.

* I'm not sure how the % relates to the 1/8th ect

** It's not really a project, but I'm not sure what other word describes it :ROFLMAO: Subject matter maybe.......? :ROFLMAO:

You should definitely do it. Just so I can decide if I want one, or not. :D

FYI, I found that B&H sells it the cheapest, even with shipping and pre-paid taxed included ($96), vs Amazon UK, which is selling the same at £126 for the 77mm. Which I will just get some Step Up Rings for smaller lenses.

I'm using the Haida Black mist, the effect is varies by focal length. A specific project needed a multi cam setup so I've ended up with a selection of 1/8 and 1/4 77mm and 82mm. I like the effect.
