I have a load of photos from the summer than I keyworded as RAW files. I then converted to TIFFs during my LR/PS workflow and added some more keywords. (all keywording done in LR).
I then opened the TIFFs inside PS and cropped them down to 800px and converted from 16 bit to 8 bit before saving as JPEG for upload to flickr. I put them into the flickr uploader to see only the keywords I put into the RAW files still there. The ones I put into the TIFFs seem to have vanished.
Needless to say I really can't be bothered to keyword them again inside flickr.

Anyone know why just the keywords I put into the RAW files are still there in the JPEGs?

If you added the keywords to the tiffs without writing them to metadata and then opened them in Photoshop without going through LR this would explain it. Or exporting the tiffs with the add metadata box unticked. These would be the only two reasons this would happen.

As Paul states above - Lightroom keeps it's keywords locally in it's database. For them to be carried over to the file, you have to save them. 'Metadata' : 'Save Metadata to File' [ctrl + s]
