Those of you in Somerset may have heard of the sunflower field at Thurloxton fruit farm a few weeks back. Apparently the farmers grew these sunflowers a bit spontaneously and since they grew so well they decided to open the field to the public for 3 days to raise money for charity. They did extremely well raising over £34k in 3 days. The field had a mass of approximately 7 million sunflowers and you were able to pick 6 to take home with you after your visit.
Here are some of my photos from the day and some macros of the few I brought home.
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on these and also see some of your own from any sunflower, poppy, lavender or whichever flower fields you've had a chance to visit.
