Hi all,

I'm looking into purchasing an external screen display for my MacBook Pro,while using it at home.

Could anyone recommend a similar sized alternative to Apple's Thunderbolt Display?
As many articles I've read on the net say that the Apple Display is both out of date, and extremely over priced in comparison to its alternatives.

I'd prefer something similar sized to the Thunderbolt; as something larger would probably be too big for my current available space.

Budget wise,I'd rather stick within the £900 price of the Apple product; but don't mind a little over if needed.

Any recommendations much appreciated.

Lg make the screens for apple. How about looking at the lg 27mb85z. That has thunderbolt connectivity as well.

Thanks for the reply Byker28i; I'll have a look into them.

Have you had any first hand experience with this particular model you can share,by any chance?

Supplied one to a customer with a MacBook Pro, he was happy.

For a reasonable price you'd be going along way to beat the Dell Utrasharps at the moment

A dell 4K, although I'm also tempted by the LG 34" ultra wide curved model.

Just recently got a 27in NEC as second screen Along with the Thunderbolt. Both screens similar in colour Gamut but Thunderbolt is slightly better. Having said that for £500 I think it is a good alternative.
