What's the chances of me claiming of my house con-tense insurance after the cat threw up over my gear?

This is the first place I've come too, I haven't looked up any paper work as yet but will do sometime today. I took pics. :puke:

YUK, AR

Its the gear broken or just full of puke??

My house hold insurance covers all my gear but some do not.

Contact your insurers tomorrow but please don't post pics :gag:

Can I just put a tiny weenie weenie one of it? Of a huge puke?

'Clean the gear...if broke contact insurer....at the very least get rid of cat '

So I just add it to the horse meat?

Seriously, re: "just clean it" ... that's fine if it's then okay but if it crashes later it may be too late to claim, I would say at least a professional clean via insurers in case any acid from the vomit has penetrated the equipment.

You may find that "pet damage" is excluded from your policy. Read the small print.

My cat threw up into my TV a few years ago and the insurance paid out for a new tv but they did want a repairer to come out and say it wasn't repairable - it is though regarded as a bio hazard so you might find that people won't repair and will just write off the product and replace. It's also pretty corrosive stuff

I have a golden retriever, that kindly peed on my 2 day old expensive landing carpet. A few years ago when he was a pup.
I claimed (the only house claim I've ever done) They sent a specialists cleaning firm out, who said it needed replacing.
Replaced the whole landing and staircase, even though it was as new. They said that they had to, to gurantee a match.
it's worth a call.

Now I've calmed down, cleaned it. It's fine now. Love the act of Mog!

Your cat is clearly a Canon fanatic and, as such, should be dispatched to the rescue centre forthwith.

:naughty:

If you cleaned it right away it should be fine, it wouldn't have time to corrode anything. Unless it seeped right through, if it was very watery puke? :gag:

All I can add is - if my cat did same, she's have a sore hole from my Doc Martin boot for a few days! :nono:

I blame Richard for carelessly leaving equipment lying around to be puked on.

.....and making his cat sick!
