Can she prove that is her horse in the pictures? A little touch of Photoshop in the night... :D

Just a personal opinion to which I feel entitled, but it seems very bitchy to me to wait this long and let someone get involved in expese on behalf of a charity, then step in with demands.

That's true, however something has clearly happened to make the horse owner kick off. Often these things are misunderstandings. She may not have known that the photo shoot was for a calendar which would be sold in order to promote the charities, and she may think the photographer is profiting disproportionately from the sales (as if) thus feeling resentful that she was 'out of the loop' so to speak. Hopefully this will be remedied with good communication by the stables.

By the way - did the stables know all the details - that the shoot was for a calendar etc etc? If they did, then they may have been remiss in communicating this to the horse owner. However I would like to think that the horse would have been donated freely for such a good cause.

All this is speculation, hopefully the OP will fill us in more fully.

Edit: as was previously mentioned, where commercial use is involved (which arguably a promotional calendar would be) then it is prudent to gain a release from both the site owner (whoever's land the shoot was on) as well as the models and horse owner.

I seriously don't think she has a case at all but as said go seek proper legal advice.
Then, when you are sure she has no case, tell her to **** off and tell the local papers about it.

If the horse has been used without permission for a porno shoot? Then she has every right to be a bit miffed :D

You can contact the law society they will give you a list of lawyers in your area all of them will do an initial free consultation either on the phone or in person & give you advice from there. I did this when being threatened with legal action for something while the threat was a bit scary, after my consultation it put my mind at rest & nothing more came of it (he took all the details from me & sorted it out) Cant say that this will happen in your case but at least then you will know :)

Can't you just blank out the horses' eyes to avoid it being recognised? :naughty:

Pleased I had not took a mouthful of my beer just before reading this otherwise a new moniter would have been needed.:lol::lol:

I am referring this thread to Equine Opportunity Commission.

yeah i wondered about that - if i were being threatened with legal action over some pics my first choice wouldnt be to publicise them as widely as possible - perhaps mod people should remove his link as it isnt essential to the thread
