Okay, maybe some BF3 vs MW3 :)
 
There's a modern warfare 3 thread in this section.

Got it on pc and liking the single player story, feel its a little short though. Got 3.5 hours on the clock and I'm most of the way through.
 
I think Skyrims wins the award to longevity. I've seen people who have been on it for nearly 22 hours now (gametime) and are very high levels but are barely through the main quests.

I'm waiting for Diablo 3 early next year.. Thatll keep me occupied :D
 
I'm a PS3 user with MW3 and BF3, out the 2 if your a SP person over MP then MW3 has the better story (as long as you have played the previous incarnations)

BF3 has much better MP (personally unless your a run and shoot person)

@Neil_g I jumped straight into veteran, even easier than MW3. Wish it was WaW hard on veteran.
 
Skyrim is awesome. I've been a fan of the Elder Scrolls ever since Arena - loved Morrowind, thought Oblivion was fantastic - but this is like having an entire world on my computer. I never want to leave and come back to reality!
 
I played the alpha and beta of BF3 but did not get BF3 as I preordered Skyrim and also had to save to go Barcelona last week.

I am a huge fan of Oblivion and Skyrim follows on very well. I've clocked up 9 hours of play since Sunday and it an engrossing experience!

I'd like to get Bf3 but will be at a later date as I'm sure it will be also addictive. Depends which type of game you're more geared towards.
I have no idea about MW3 though.
 
I managed to play the full release of BF3 before pretty much everyone at a press release in cCardiff. After playing mw3, mw3 is just the end to a franchise. BF3 is incredible.
 
If you enjoy immersive gaming then Skyrim without a doubt - infinite replay value as well as well over 1000 hours game time if you do things like read the books and lore of the game.

Anything that's not Elder Scrolls or Baldur's Gate is a button basher in my mind
 
Skyrim is fantastic, longevity, and the story line is great so far, you can always find something interesting to do.

MW3 is great I normally play online and can spend hours on it without realising.

BF3 however filled me with disappointment, online play doesnt seem as smooth as MW3 and the campaign wasnt exactly the most rivetting. Ill be getting rid of my copy soon as I havent touched it since getting MW3 and skyrim.

All of my experiences have been on the xbox.
 
was loving BF3 right up until Skyrim landed on my mat and havnt played anything else since. 23 hours clocked up so far and loving every minute. I really want to get back to BF3 but id rather spend the time crawling through a dungeon.
 
BF3 is by far the best and most immersive MP shooter ever made. End of!

I used to love the COD games and got them all up till now but won't bother with MW3 as it won't get a look in over BF3. (xbox)

Never played an elder scrolls game.

I take it they are RPG games?
 
I've played MW3 on xbox, as good as it is, I still don't think its worth £40

Why?

It has endless MP potential so value for money on this (and BF3 etc) is it's strongest point.
 
Skyrim is worth every penny of the £35 I paid for it. I know the price will drop over time, but this is one of the few games I've ever bought at full price - and I'm *so* glad I did.

19hrs game time so far and still loving every minute of it.
 
Skyrim is on the wish list but I've read of game crippling lag on the PS3 once the save file gets beyond a certain size. Bethesda have said they're looking to patch it but Fallout 3 and New Vegas had the same problem go unfixed so I have my doubts. If it's fixed then it's definitely my next purchase but there's no point if you can't get more than 20 hours play time out of a game with such sheer depth. Shame really. Fingers crossed they can patch it though!

It's a ps3 problem only because of the way it's been designed on PC and Xbox and then ported across to ps3.
 
Played and loved BF3 online till skyrim came out & I've been on that ever since.

I've had MW3 & AC:R since release and they've not come out of the box yet...

My last save says I'm now over 100 hours in skyrim.... :-O
