What do u reckon? Please CC.

i showed it to a mate and said that at places its either under or over exposed.

i think i need a bigger light modifier.

i used a 43inch shoot through umbrella on the left side attached to a canon 600ex flash and on the right for the blue highlights at the background just used a flash bending thingy shaped as a snoot with a blue coloured flash gel on the right aiming on the background.

Any suggestions to improve lighting?

you are too close to the background & so haven't allowed the 'required' separation zone between lighting the subject & lighting the background.

It all depends on what exactly you are trying to achieve.

Plus as said, move away from the background a little. A 2ft umbrella is quite small if your looking at full body shots but you could perhaps have got a little less falloff by positioning it slightly differently.

Just experiment and revel in the joys of ofc :)

Thanks. well i did experiment and well bought a 60inch unbrella and along with using my 40inch unbrellas for flill this is what i achieved:

nevermind about the framing and composition, Or my crappy pose on the 2nd pic, comment on the light :)

I think for me to change the colour of the background light i would need to stan further away from the background.
