Hi all

Joined today and i bet im the only one on this forum without a camera. Well I have my old film camera sitting besides me that im selling on eeekBay at the moment and am looking to put this cash towards a nice dslr. I need to get myself out and about after a long illness. So I will be hoping to pick all your brains for advice on here what way to go. My old camera was a Contax 167MT with Carl Zeiss optics how could i go wrong, and I must say while cheating with the full automatic option I could actualy feel like i was taking nice pictures by myself. I also have a small Canon Ixus 900TI that takes great photos (even the missus can use this one :) Im chomping at the bit so i will soon eat away at those posts with your help. Maybe in time I can join a conversation and mention stop bits, over exposure, f stops etc, and actualy know what they mean.

Thanks for that. The doctor said I should get out more so it was learn to be a pap or the Gym.. Let me think on that one for a minute or so.. :)

Hiya John, nope you are not the only one i don't have a camera yet, taking delivery of a Nikon D200 next month though. Welcome along
 
Thanks for all the kind words. I'm just going to dive in but hitting 100 posts with absolutly no idea is going to be a challenge. Guess the month wait looks more likely for release into the wild.
