Looking at prices of Canon lenses (300mm f2.8) is in the thought process, the prices in the UK seem to average around 2.5k -3k or thereabouts..

But in the US the price is half this - so leaving aside travel which would be done anyway and maybe size for hand luggage - should these lens just fit onto body from the UK - canon is canon is it not or have I missed something ????

I would think it would fit, a canon is a canon where ever you are in the world. Have you tryed kerso he ships them from america and his sister posts them to you so now extra charges for you and you get a uk invioce
You dont have to wait long for your kit either (usually)
