This kid can play the guitar

:notworthy: :sulk: :runaway:

He's certainly got chops... It'd be really impressive if he could do that in front a packed venue!

(Wasn't this on a little while ago though - along with a post featuring some Japanese kid playing the Super Mario theme?)

i really like those pinched harmonics...

there is another vid of the same kid playing it on a strat too...

*jealous*

Phenomenal

Talent like that always sends shivers down my spine.

i remember reading about it being fake or well practised and he cant play anything else.
There used to be a few of them over the last few years. some jap dude too IIRC

If that is all he can play he can damn sure play it well! ONe of my favorite pieces of music beautifully done.

ive seen the jap dude too, but that kids great, i dont think thats all he plays, if it is, i would be very very surprised, too many techniques employed!

Brilliant - talent like that is scary but is also great to hear

Granted it's fast but it lacks emotion. I personally hate shredders but then again I'm a blues man.

Yep is was. I would sell my soul to the devil to be able to play like that. :notworthy:

He's good but he's no George Formby
Paul ;)

This kid is so good I have usually no interest in guitars as such but I have just watched it again..

I can go along with that entirely! Much as I can really admire this kid, I'd rather listen to BB King play two notes...

yngwie malmsteen, steve vai, joe satriani, technically excellent, but lacking that drop of soul!

Ah, Thingummy Hasbeen - been a long time since I listened to any of his stuff... But I agree entirely with you, Matty!

Two words - Gary Moore :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

he chokes a bit about 2 mins in. infact he chokes notes all over the place!

as said it lacks even a shred of emotion in his playing, hes obviously a metal guitar fret ****** that can play fast. slow everything down and it would sound a lot nicer and more personal emotion within the music as it would show his personal talent.

malmsteen is s***e, his music really is just showy and quick, out of the 3 gimme satriani anyday, atleast he shows a bit of emotion is some of his tunes!

blues for suckers anyday :)

Mmmm, Just found this link of Jerry C but think the kid in the 1st post makes a better job of playing the tune...

What do you experts think.:p

hmmmmm just watched both, the first one looks like hes playing it...

yeh he doesnt actually look like hes playing it, i dont think it syncs to well, whether that be the video or what.

his vibrato is aweful though, worse than mine, your supposed to vibrate the string, not the whole flaming guitar!

i love watching guitarists at work, i went and saw the Hamsters, with snails pace slim, and they were ace 'intimate gig' where i was like 4 foot from the guy, marvelous it was

Is this funtwo?

I have been playing this track for about 3 months now. old news but great. His version is amazing.

yeah that is funtwo
