This is not a spiral!

Saw this today on twitter and thought, since we're all into the visual media, that this deserved a post on TP.

It's another optical illusion and I don't recommend staring at it if you've got a hang-over

The only way I could prove to myself that it wasn't a spiral was to follow the rings with a mouse pointer!

Ooooooh look !!! If I scroll up and down the screen, it becomes a moving spiral

NB: I don't recommend trying that if you have a hangover either!!!

Try closing one eye - it becomes concentric rings. When you open both eyes it stops being a spiral for a bit.

Try viewing with just one eye but swapping from side to side, to me it look like some kind of vortex opening up!

I can only use 1 eye at a time. If I use my left eye it looks like a spiral, if I use my right eye it looks like blurry concentric rings . From a distance both eyes see concentric rings.
