But anyway here's the definitive lowdown on pronunciation.

In Cornwall and a little strip of west Devon near the border, scone mostly rhymes with phone. (As it does, slightly more definitively, where I come from in Essex.) But in Devon, scone mostly rhymes with con.
 
Scones, with dried fruit (sultanas or WHY) or plain.....?
 
Fruit for me, but I`m not a big fan of Scones anyway.
 
Yorkshireman's way of scon(e), cream and jam:
