this is a bit different, exposing onto leaves

interesting?

Mmm.
Interesting.

Has anyone mentioned how interesting this is yet?

It's not a new idea, but up to now I don't think anyone has successfully fixed the image.

Steve.

... and once you've fixed it, the leaf up and dies on you anyway. :( Interesting, though...

well it would fix itself i would imagine. Ive had dried leaves for ages and they dont just rot away, theyre just very fragile

The black starch/iodine complex that makes up the image is quite stable below 40C. I still have leaves from my O-level biology studies over 40 years ago that are better preserved than I am.

That's interesting too. :)

well im glad to at least get some peoples post counts up a little more :)

Not guilty :)

It is different and quite... fascinating.
I doubt it will catch on to any great degree, but an intriguing project.

exactly, its nice to see people opening their minds and doing different things. It doesnt sound too tricky a process either, something to try at home :) Especially now its autumn with the colours in the dead leaves.

I think it's really hard to be original with photography now and I found the article a good read. I like the fact she has merged the knowledge & experience of her family along with trying new things & the final result is very impressive!
