My soundcard and speakers and this video go very well together :woot:

I absolutely LOVE Pink Floyd!! Sometimes i wish i was born thirty years earlier ><, I would've loved to see queen in 1985 too.

Opps , sorry I meant 1986, And i'm so jealous of you two.... ><

Saw The Wall live two years running at Earls Court, it was the first time I saw PF live and it blew me away, there are a few clips on youtube that show the actual concert with the wall being built. Momentary Lapse of Reason is a better album though imo and not just because Rachel Fury (insert wolf whistle smily .gif) does that amazing solo.

A momentary lapse of reason, was that Pink floyd??? :) I thought that was Dave Gilmour and his Band! Gilmour is a fantastic guitarist, not as much a writer or singer though, listen to the guitar on the original comfortably numb and you will hear what he is best at!
Waters left a big hole, bigger than the hole Barret left. His lyrics are sometimes cryptic, sometimes obvious but always meaninful if you have the time to work them out.
if you want a classic floyd album listen to the final cut, Floyd at their absolute best! Animals is also pretty special and Gilmour did have a big part in writing Dogs which is probably the best song on the album but Waters style is very prominent in this track and I think even that is more waters than Gilmour.
Just my opinion of course

Yes, it was 1986. I was at Wembley (about 10 feet from the stage) and it was incredible, Freddie Mercury was a hell of an entertainer. I would have loved to have seen Floyd live though.
I saw both. :D

Absolutely and I would never think to knock his talent but he was/is such a depressing person to listen to. I did buy a couple of his solo cds but never could get into them. The bands style changed for the better after he left imo, until DGs wife started getting writing credits (Divsion Bell) that is.

I quite liked Pros and Cons of Hitchiking and not just because of the album cover.

still got that album on vynyl, time to give it a dust off I think :D

Pity they weren't short of cash......

saucer full of secrets
Atom heart mother
obscured by clouds
animals
Amused to death

Are some of my favourite Pink floyd albums, I` like them all but prefer by miles PF with Waters.

And Radio Chaos, 4 minutes near sucked my brains out of my ears first time I heard it! I had some help state of mind wise :) but damn that was unexpected!

Cheers for the excellent replies.
I've only just started getting into Floyd (thanks to Borats Baby!!)
and this thread has given me a few clues as to what to keep an eye out for!

Must be nice in a way to only now discover the Floyd, lots of material for you to listen to for the first time.

Enjoy:thumbs:
