Hi folks hope all is well.

I am thinking about buying a few bits and bobs for the camera. I would like a grip for added battery and just to increase camera size a little.

I have seen some grips on eBay with batteries but I am unsure if they are worth risking.

Has anyone got any experience of these cheaper grips, or could anyone point me in the right direction to a shop selling them.

Appreciate any help.

Adam.

Hi Adam,

I've just bought one from Amazon, it was about the same price as the eBay ones but Amazon's return policy gave me more confidence. The batteries supplied may not be up up to much but they're cheap enough. The grip I bought was made by MeiKe and I'm impressed by the quality, it fits my 550D perfectly, all the buttons have a nice feel to them and everything works as it should. Well worth the £31 I paid for it :)

I have used Phottix grips for both my 350D and 40D and have had no issues whatsoever. A tad bit more than the price mentioned by Alanem, but worth a view.
