Third party batteries

I bought the maxsima version from amazon and it seems just as good if not better than the original canon.

Makes feel less anxious about buying a third party battery - Thanks:thumbs:

I have 2 7dayshop batteries, not for 500D but 5D2. To be honest I can't see the difference in use, they last as long as Canon does and only looks a bit different on the outside. :)

I've used Hanhel batteries in my 500D and am awaiting 2 of the 7day shop ones.

I've found they do actually take care when sourcing products they sell under their own name as a rule and haven't so far had a problem with any of their own brand products.

I've got 5 3rd party batteries at the moment to compliment my 2 originals for my 5D3 and 60D. They both take the same, which is a bonus, and I've got another 3rd party one on order so I can have 4 batteries each for when I get my grip for my 5D3, 2 in each grip and 2 spare for each.

I have both Duracell and a 7dayshop batteries for my 60D (only really wanted the latter, but ordered the former as 7dayshop had the 60D replacement batteries on order and I couldn't wait).

For what it's worth they both work and charge just fine.
