Thinking of changing my D750 and going for the new Fuji XT2

A couple of us went to Oulton Park to try out the new X-T2. We both shot over 1000 JPEGs on motor drive, on one battery. Should cover a normal wedding unless you are chimping all day long.

The XT2 will most likely cost you more than you'd get for your D750.

Ahh OK, I was talking RAW. Not sure how many I'd get from the D750 shooting jpeg only.
 
How do the smaller f1.8 lenses compare with the Fuji ones?

I mean specifically like the Nikkor 20, 24, 35, 50 and 85 vs the Fuji 14, 16, 23, 35 and 56?
 
I don't think either system will have a problem with primes as they are all very good / excellent.
I think the difference s are more about sensors and size, Weight, autofocus and any others mentioned above.
 
I went X-T1 to D750, but only because I got a crazy cheap deal on a new D750 kit.
I admit to missing the colours of the Fuji but the D750 is a very capable camera, and now I have a 50mm f1.8, 85mm f1.8, 24-120 F4 and a 70-300VR I'm covered for most things and am happy with the results so far.

I do have a hankering for an X-T2 though, maybe down the line when the prices drop a bit.
 
I have had both, enjoyed the D750 but ultimately it weighed more meaning I took it out less and there was a lot more pp in Lightroom with the Nikon sensor compared to the Fuji.

I have an X-T1 and am very happy but the X-T2 looks even better.
 
The X-T2 especially with grip i feel really is a game changer as a semi pro or even pro camera.

Managed over 3000 shots in RAW on three of the new type batteries and in permanent boost mode at British Superbikes and this included editing and sending several images direct from trackside using the wifi function.

A/F performance was as good if not better i would say than my 7DMKII but not fully on par with my 1DX MKII's but they are 4 times the price and weight of the X-T2.

As a portable package with the added feature of removing the grip if needed plus the lenses available from Fuji and im sure with other great lenses to come it really has closed the gap in a considerable manner.

For it to lock onto and track a bike head on at over 100mph i think it really has come on loads since the previous X-T1.
