Think my laptop likes coffee !!

This morning I managed to spill a cup of coffee over the laptop bag, which was open by the bed with laptop still in it :eek:
After leaving it for the day in the airing cupboard I just turned it on and to my great relief all seems to be working well so far :D :clap:
Must give up coffee in bed in the morning or then again perhaps not.......................
 
Last week I spilt a pint of Vimto over my keyboard, the next morning a full cup of coffee took a tumble across the keyboard. The keys are only just losing their crunch.:bonk:
 
If it had sugar or milk in get it checked out ASAP, if not you might be lucky, many modern laptops have mebranes which prevent water (and other liquids) getting in via the keyboard but if the liquid went into the USB port for example that wouldn't help.

I have worked in the IT arena for many years and I have seen some horrendous outcomes from liquid damage and one or two miracles along the way. Good luck.

No sugar in the coffee and laptop is still working fine so far, so hopefully I was lucky or very quick in reacting to the disaster
 
lucky.. i knocked an entire mug of white coffee with 2 sugars into my work laptop once. the whole lot disapearred inside and dell pretty much replaced all of the internals as they were screwed lol
 
I did this about 3 months ago to my Samsung laptop... A full cup of Tea with Two sugar... not good at all. The power instantly turned off, so I thought it was knackered, I left it over night after drying it off and removing the battery, hddsk etc and everything was fine in the morning, the keys have now lost their crunchness, *touch wood" it stays like that.
