Hi guys

Thinking of starting off simple portfolio shoots. I have a Canon 40d and the speedlight 430ex mk2. I only wanna start out cheap, cause rather that paid for ones, I have a few girls interested in the free ones, for the sole purpose of experience. What sort of lighting and backdrop kit would I need? Had a look at some on Ebay, but I'd rather have some first hand experience.:help:

1.35m roll of paper, background stand for it.

speedlight softbox, stand.

Go from there. Avoid the trend of white seamless, it's utterly tedious, mood lighting's where it's at.

If you don't want to spend on a background, just look for natural plain spaces, or knock stuff out of focus.
