What they were working with was so small. The blood vessels actually. Stitching blood vessels millimeters across instead of around a centimeter.

The operation took 9 hours, recovery period was three weeks as the stitches kept popping every morning.
 
I'm so glad I kept on reading further down the posts. I couldn't imagine what had made you ask such a weird question. I haven't seen the news today, perhaps it's just as well.

That was the problem...
I think the knife slipped when he was being circumcised and a bit more was cut off than was intended.
