The split is really rather clever...nimble minx ain't he?
however a couple of things spring to mind.
A) The significance of the truck being in reverse?
B) If Van Damme is only 53 Then I'm next in line for Vatican residency.
C) How funny would it have been if one of those odd little pointy topped vans that carry glass, had gone whipping through the middle?
 
Pretty sure that while the shot was taken in one take, several single takes were needed to get one useable one. And that the shot was filmed with the trucks going forwards (would be happy to be proven wrong on the reversed film.)
 
The one on the left is a rigid (easy to reverse) lorry whereas the one on the right is an artic. Artics are much harder to reverse in a straight line, hence the advert showing off Volvo's Dynamic Steering.
Punters will gasp in awe at Van Damm's feat but lorry drivers will be impressed with the straight reversing. :)
