My other interest in life doesn't normally make its way on to this forum all that often, but I'm a bit of an aircraft nerd at heart...any how today Etihad launched what is to be their new top class of seat* when the receive their Airbus A388 now is not often something leaves me lost for words but boy this is something special...

So come one who wouldn't fancy it

Just where did I leave my winning euro millions ticket

*seat is a bit of an understatement ;)

I've flown first class on Emirates A380....hard pressed to beat it.

If you've clicked the link you'll see this smashes the hell out of first class on an EK A388

Having been a pilot for the last 10 years (PPL) I would still prefer being in the cockpit :D

They are remarkable with the luxuries, one day it won't be the same as looking out of the cabin window though, remember the fifth element? Passengers will eventually be knocked out :p

Well yes there is being in the front seat but truth be told I think while the view is nicer I could live without the responsibility :)

Odd as the link takes me to details of the new class...which is describe as a three room residence...featuring a lounge with dining table plus leather sofa and ottoman and 32in flat screen TV, private washroom with shower, and a bedroom with full size double bed...includes your own butler and chef

Fair enough personally I think it's an absolutely fantastic way to fly if you can afford it :)

But Peter, at least the butler could serve you your Kellogs Frosties when you awoke from that dream :-)

The butler doesn't involve himself with such base duties - one has footmen and serving wenches to bring the vittles' to the table...
