Hi,

This is a really intractable problem. My website (www.wild-wales.com) is hosted by TheImageFile, most aspects of which seem pretty fine. My emails come through the website (jerry@wild-wales.com) but quite a large proportion of them never arrive. I never get "bounce-back" messages. I've contacted them a number of times about this but they maintain it is not their problem.

For example recently the following emails to my knowledge never arrived;

To the County Planning Department ( several named individuals) ; To a friend with an important attachment; To DSCL asking why they'd only sent 15 prints when I'd paid for 16(!);

Yet others do.

I'm reluctant to change my email address because I've used it in my business for many years now.

So is there anyone else here whose website is hosted by TIF? (Whether they have problems or not) ..... Or anyone with a general knowledge about how I could solve this one, please?

Hi,

There are some settings missing that are probably causing the problem.

Ask the host what you/they can do about this.

Not having spf can cause some servers to reject the mail and may be the issue.

That would be the other way surely - the outgoing emails. Mailjet with proper configuration is great cure to that.

You need to tells us more how your emails are set up. The imagefile presumably forwards them on to your personal or business domain host. You can ask imagefile support if there is any drop off at their end. Now the real problems may be if you are using something like GMAIL as a mail handler. They are disappearing random emails sent to me and they are not in spam / and they wouldn't acknowledge this is happening. Luckily this setup is just a contigency / convenience when I'm out and I get everything via my business IMAP. So I clearly notice when business emails are missing in GMAIL. I have no reason to believe Yahoo or Bing would be any better.

AFAIK that is what Jerry's problem is.
In that case the solution is simple. Signup for Mailjet SMTP, add lines to DNS config as they instruct and enjoy.

FWIW...May not help!
We were not getting some emails.
Reason ......we had blocked some as spam but had also blocked the domain instead of just the email address.
Checked list of blocked emails in MS Edge and removed those we wanted to receive.
Problem cleared.

Well, no response from Doubleshot Domains , although perhaps they didn't get my emails!

LLP, you made a suggestion above but I didn't really understand it. Is this something someone could sort out for me at my end or is it the domain host/website host's responsibility?
