Following on from the other thread, what is the worst supercar (Ferrari, Lamborghini etc) replica you've seen?

I'll start the ball rolling with this Ferrari F40 replica.....

Love it!! Looks like a micro machine.

in the late 80's / early 90's there used to be one of these in Norwich.....

Sorry guys... but I am about to blow this thread out of the water....... top this.........

the [PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER] lovechild of a veyron and honda civic.......... (ok not too much veyron in there!!!)

i havent got a picture but when i was a lad there was a guy down our way who had a ford capri done out with fibre glass to 'look like' (if you squinted a bit  ) a bentley

i assume "squinting a bit" was roughly equivalent to bathing your eyes in strong acid on a daily basis..........

Found some more pics of the veyron / civic abortion....

Reminds me of the Vauxhall Cavalier coupe that used to drive around here a few years back, it had a Manta 400 arch kit on it, but standard (14"?) wheels :gag:

Yes it does have the doors to add to the already impressive realistic nature of this car...

The worst kit car/replica I've seen is a Ford Granada based Bentley 4 1/2 blower.

I think this may just be hard to beat. I present the "McLaren F1"....

it was described by British Car Auctions (who tried, unsuccessfully you may be surprised to know, to sell it in a Sale of Classic and Collectors’ Motor Vehicles) as
"a possibly unique attempt to recreate this legend ........ it is said to have cost the builder in excess of six figures to get to its near completed state before forcing him into receivership. Power is from a mid-mounted Rover/Honda V6."

I'm suspecting the "six figures" may start with a one and include a decimal point...

However, I'll see it and raise you an Enzo........

must be genuine as it says Enzo on the doors.......

and finally a cheap imposter, pretending to be one of Modena's finest.... you really would think they would pay more attention to detail

- no e-Type fantail 4 exhaust
- lights are obviously wrong
- doors are wrong
- it doesn't say ENZO on the doors so is obviously not one
- lack of huge spoiler
- no 1980's american limo boomerang aerial

bloody lazy workshy Italian's. Just too much effort to copy the real thing....

Yellow seems to be a popular colour for these near-exact Ferrari replicas, here's another....

Is it wrong to like that in a Mad Max and Battle Cars sort of way?

Leave the finish as it is, with a big V8 and a charger through the bonnet.. I'll buy that for a dollar.. ..

'Battle Cars' wasn't that something to do with Fighting Fantasy. deffo has that Mad Max lok, although with your last comments ("I'd buy that for a dollar") I'm thinking it belongs in Robocop

Of course if you're more of a Porsche fan, but crave the fuel efficiency of, say, the Fiat 500.....

I didn't have Battle Cars, but my cousins did.. that plus Cyberpunk and you pretty much have Mad Max the RPG!

That's sent me on a Wiki-trail and a half.. ended up with The Gernsback Continuum, a short story by WIlliam Gibson about a photographer. I must dig out my copy of Burning Chrome and have a re-read.
