No, no, I've never actually been unrequited. ;)

I do indeed sing torch songs, in full 40's dress at an underground cabaret downtown. Although I love singing with my band (blues/rock), there's just something about stepping into costume and becoming such a slinky character. The crowds are rowdy, to say the least.

A single favorite song? Hmmm. I'm an enormous Etta James fan, so two of my favorites to sing are At Last and Don't Go To Strangers (lyrics: Make your mark for your friends to see / but when you need more than company / don't go to strangers / come on home to me...) Rawr.

Gotcha. I'm a huge Sarah Vaughan fan when I'm really in the mood to just sit back and listen.
 
Actually, I'm listening to Sarah Vaughan right now, the song playing is Body and Soul, another of my favorites. It's a rainy afternoon in Denver, and her drippy, slippery voice is perfect for it.

you can all laugh at the mankini, but those of you who bought a strap, think of this, i dont have one of those mankinis, and i might have made one from the stash of straps...

1 : We know you have a mankini, it's your favourite item of clobber.
2 : You only just got the straps, you've had the mankini for years :D
 
maybe i like the feel of the high quality rubber in the straps....maybe the lycra mankini is a bit itchy....
