The Walking Dead...[CONTAINS TV SHOW SPOILERS]

I've managed to avoid this spoiler luckily.

I got the graphic novels for my birthday today so that'll keep me busy during mid season break :) My 3 year old said "yay, a story book" when I opened it...

I was not expecting that!

Is it February yet? Where did I put my new books?

Mid season finale. That's wrong. Plain and simple. In reality, season has ended and another season will begin in February

Anyway, enjoyed the last episode.

Quite a tense stand off in the Hospital. I didn't expect Beth to last.

I wasn't keen of the bit when Rick ran over the cop and then killed him. Felt like me he crossed a line. It did't last long, but it just felt wrong to me.

Joe, now I really enjoyed the ending where he saw the note Rick left, he had such a relieved look on his face. He has done well, though, to stay alive so long alone :)

Anyways, the countdown begins.

Cheers.

I don't like theses mid season finale,as for Rick i think it was justified he did give the cop a chance to stop, and in the the past when he given people a 2nd chance it always backfired on the group :)

Ah, you see, I do tend to miss these things. I might have to watch the bit again.

Cheers.

Another addict here. Does anyone know if there is a book or books that follow/based on the TV Series. I have found loads of Z books but none that follow the series. I do know that the whole thing is based on comics!!!

I might read an hour of the book tonight to get my WD fix.

I don't think there's a book that follows the TV series. I got the first 2 compendium books for my birthday. Just working my way through the first one which I weighed to see how heavy it was. It's a 2kg book.

What would everyone like to see in the second half of the season? If you were writing the script, what direction would you take the characters? Who would you kill off etc?

I have a sneaky feeling Carol won't finish the season, maybe sacrificing herself to save the group...

I would like to see Tyreese man up a bit and start being a badass, and maybe Eugene to redeem himself by discovering something important about the walkers

Wonder why it says 19 January on Sky? It does say 9 February on the Mail website.

Cheers.
It says 19th Jan for new episode 6, but we've already seen that, but at the bottom of the page it says the 9th Feb.

Check your Sky boxes. My series link had dropped.

I'm just having a recap of the mid season finale. Yes I am that sad!

Excited......

Tick tock, not long. Kids have been in the garden all day so they should be in bed long before it starts!

So it's episode 9 tonight then ?

I've got a bit confused over the last couple of weeks.

It was a new episode in the States/Canada last night.

Wasn't expecting what happened to happen so soon, too. Came as a bit of a shock.

Overall, it was a slow episode for the 'start' of the 2nd part of the season.

I was a late starter with The Walking Dead

My daughter got me into it and I've watched the whole lot over the last couple of weeks.

I'm used to 5 or 6 episodes a night :) but now I've caught up I'll struggle with only one episode per week.

I download it (like I do most American dramas that I watch) once they've been capped and put on the net, I can't be arsed waiting for UK broadcasts.
I won't give any spoilers but if season 5 episode 8 annoyed you with what happened, episode 9 doesn't get better in that respect, still a great programe though.
Oh and for any Breaking Bad fans (sorry for going off topic), last night the spin off 'Better call Saul' aried on AMC and going on reviews it was rather good, I'm going to watch it in a bit.

Tyrese was well annoying. Right choice I think.
He had a heart, he cared about people when most wouldn't in a messed up world like that.

He did, but I always found myself wanting to a tell him to man up. In the end that's what got him killed.
I know it's only fiction but put yourself in their shoes, not sure of how much of that I could take before deciding to give up and end it all.
I do like the way that there is no telling which character(s) will be killed off, but I hope they don't kill off Carol or Darell because I like the way that their have developed, Carol going from being an abused wife to one tough cookie.

In that situation, where most people have witnessed the death of loved ones, it's either toughen up and survive or become zombie chow. I would think you'd become numb to it after a while.

Although Carole is one of the best characters I have a feeling she won't see the season out

I enjoyed episode 9 even though I knew The story line.
