I think thats pretty despicable and could very well end up biting them on the arse in the not too distant future.
3M have already told him that it’s counterproductive because of the interconnectedness of trade — they manufacture in lots of countries. But of course he doesn’t understand trade — he still thinks and says that the US is making money from tariffs :(.

Possible, but some of the critical articles are related to the lockdown and how it's damaging the economy to save a few lives.
Perhaps the writers would do better to examine how the incompetence and dithering of the current and previous two governments have exacerbated the problems and the number of victims.

Just... wow. It's like all those bad 80's distopian movies come true.

Reminded me of this - a mysterious influence makes people madly destroy modern (well, 1970s) technology:

It's not stopping, either:

UK phone masts attacked amid 5G-coronavirus conspiracy theory

'Three recent mobile phone mast fires around the UK are being investigated as possible arson, amid concerns that people are attacking telecoms infrastructure because of a conspiracy theory linking 5G technology to the spread of coronavirus. ... “The suggestion that Covid-19 is somehow linked to 5G is patently beyond the realms of credibility – utterly bizarre,” [Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson] said. “In Liverpool these masts are being upgraded and ironically the very people that are using this technology are the ones who are believing these theories. I was mildly threatened yesterday by someone telling me to take them down. The reality is there is huge pressure on the network at the moment with so many people at home and that’s why engineers are upgrading it. The idea that I have entered into some kind of machiavellian plot with the government is ridiculous.” Social media posts from celebrities, such as the singer Anne Marie, have helped spread the theory, while Amanda Holden, a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, shared a link to an online petition promoting the false rumour that the symptoms of coronavirus are caused by residing near a 5G mast. ... On Thursday, police in Belfast appealed for information after a mobile phone mast was damaged in an arson attack, with online footage suggesting the motive was opposition to 5G networks. The video clip shows an incident on the Antrim Road in north Belfast on Thursday night, in which flames can be seen at the base of a mobile telephone mast. According to a report in the Irish News, voices can be heard stating “f*** the 5G” and “Viva la revolution” as the fire burns. Facebook removed one anti-5G group in which followers were being encouraged to supply footage of them destroying mobile phone equipment. Video footage of a 70ft (20m) telephone mast on fire in Birmingham this week has also circulated widely alongside claims it was targeted by anti-5G protesters.'

Excellent news. I'm very surprised but this is excellent. People reject chicom-made high powered brain-frying electromagnetic radiation. Take them down Boris yourself.

Doubtful, all the surgical face mask boxes Ive ever seen at work just come in a box, no sterile wrapping etc.

I'm sure they weren't manufactured in those conditions, though.:)

I wonder if they will ever find out why a small percentage (currently 1% of deaths) are people with no underlying conditions. I assume post mortem examinations are not carried out under the current circumstances. Does anyone know if they still do them for corona deaths?

Whilst listening to Radio4 earlier I heard a heads-up for a programme being broadcast on Radio4 at 11.00am on Monday called "The Virus Between Us'

It's hearing the experiences of people not only on the front line but people in general .It should be enlightening.

Here it is. Looks like the first episode of a series. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000SPAM8

Even if we get the fantastic increases in the numbers of ventilators as promised, will the hospitals have enough oxygen to support them all? I read a report this morning suggesting this could be the next limiting factor in the saga....

https://www.theguardian.com/society...l-almost-runs-out-oxygen-coronavirus-patients

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11309861/london-hospital-brink-out-of-oxygen-coronavirus-ventilators/
They didn't seem to have any trouble getting hold of oxygen fo
I can't see that there would be a shortage, there are alot of industries that also use oxygen that have closed down as a result of being non essential. I wonder if it's just a case of someone forgot to order a top up.
I work for a company on a contract with BOC, I can assure you there is no shortage of oxygen, we have been moving cylinders all over the country for the past 3 weeks, and BOC have ramped up production of oxygen to facilitate the current issue.

Hmmmmmmm :cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious:
And yet Watford General has just announced that no one should be going to their hospital even in emergency.

According to guidance issued by the Royal College of Pathologists:

'In general, if a death is believed to be due to confirmed COVID-19 infection there is unlikely to be any need for a post-mortem examination to be conducted and the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death should be issued'.

If the infection is unconfirmed, the post-mortem may just be limited to obtaining to obtaining samples for testing, but they can decide to do a 'more invasive' procedure if necessary on a case by case basis.

Watford General tweeted that 5hrs ago and they never mentioned anything about oxygen supply. None of the other news sources mention oxygen supply either, they all say they are waiting on updated information.
Watford General Hospital have also tweeted asking if there are any nursing staff willing to do extra hours or extra shifts .

I guess it could be that they did have a condition, just not a known one? I guess it could be a weaker immune system, heart problems etc... nothing that has caused an issue so far but is there?

It could also be that people have different immune systems, I know I don't get ill that often but know people who seem to go from illness to illness. Finally I guess it could be simple bad luck. You get some people surviving meningitis or malaria and others that don't. Maybe thats different strains, age, fitness etc...

It would be interesting to see a breakdown of the deaths by age for those with no known conditions? For example in the figures you posted, one of them was 93. Without sounding harsh, in your 90s you are not far away from death be it flu, corona, a fall, or just the body giving up through old age.

There was a doctor on LBC this morning commenting on the deaths of young people who had no underlying illnesses. Under stress and working long hours can weaken the immune system. Add to that an environment where there are a lot of virus particles. That has to be a concern.

Independent reported it, as did the daily mail.

I had a valid reason.
I was just wondering why he had decided to post the same link that was already in the post I quoted.
What's your excuse?
I think his excuse it that there are other news agencies reporting lack of oxygen. I chose the BBC as I consider that a trusted source, it seems you couldn't find them though. Hardly his or my fault

Surely your not condoning the criminal damage of property, are you? Our emergency service have better use of their time than dealing with 5G conspiracy theorist nut jobs.

None of their local press mention oxygen. One has just updated their site to say that the hospital has now reported a critical incident but still no mention of an oxygen shortage.

BBC news (tv) just said it was a technical issue with the oxygen equipment, rather than a supply issue.

But the 5G radiation is the only thing protecting us from the mind control agents in the chemtrails!

You are wrong my friend. This is what a daily bottle of vodka is for. Spice it up with chilli and ginger for added benefits. A snake is optional.

From the Independent story
Engineers are currently on site trying to increase oxygen capacity, it is understood.
That sounds more like their oxygen tanks aren't big enough to cope with demand rather than a problem getting oxygen delivered due to shortages.

How about this one?
https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/news/18358603.watford-hospital-e-closed-patients/

The paper says " It's understood the shutdown is in relation to oxygen levels at the hospital - a full statement from the trust is expected soon. "
I have just clicked on your link, it has been updated in the last 1/4hr to
"In an update this afternoon, the trust said: "Watford General Hospital has declared a critical incident.

"THE HOSPITAL IS CLOSED except for women attending our delivery suite."

An official statement from the NHS trust says: “As a result of a technical issue with our individual hospital’s oxygen equipment, which does not pose any risk to our patients, West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust declared a critical incident on Saturday April 4 and has asked that people do not attend Watford General Hospital."
