If you read the article, it’s common to have anosmia after a virus infection which maybe what happened to you but this is before other symptoms show!If that's the case, I have had it for around 35yrs.

Me too.If that's the case, I have had it for around 35yrs.
Don't think I have had any viral infections, nothing I can remember anyway. Smells have to be really strong or in really close proximity, for them to register. Having said that, some things I can smell whilst others i can't.If you read the article, it’s common to have anosmia after a virus infection which maybe what happened to you but this is before other symptoms show!
Same with "voices"?Don't think I have had any viral infections, nothing I can remember anyway. Smells have to be really strong or in really close proximity, for them to register. Having said that, some things I can smell whilst others i can't.
Only in the case of the wife, but she does manage to break through much more often than I would like.Same with "voices"?
....and yet, 60% of people in the US think he's doing a good job on the crisis and his approval rating is matching his best since he came to power. Americans!!!He would be worse than Trump
Never had a cold? You may not have noticed. As part of the investigations for a trial* of chemo that I volunteer for the tested me for a Hepatitis B and found I’d had it and bits of the virus were nestled in my liver waiting for an excuse to break out. But I have never been conscious of having had it, which I understand is quite common. Not the same sort of virus as this one but ... .Don't think I have had any viral infections, nothing I can remember anyway. Money saving expert have mentioned the same thing, but they have also said that if your vehicles MOT is due before March 30th and it fails, you aren't allowed to continue using it.Just seen on Autoexpress - Cars due MOT before 30th March you need to get it done before, If your car is due after theres going to be an automatic 6 month extension.
One caveat to the post - Id expect autoexpress to be accurate but Ive also checked the gov.uk site and as of this time on 25th March cannot see any mention of this for domestic vehicles but have little reason to doubt it to be coming.

FWIW I’ve always found difficult photographing while dog walking, maybe because I’ve only had dogs that need keeping an eye on at all times. So I think it depends on the dogSame here so far but was wondering if it would be frowned upon to shoot along the walk so still keeping the hobby going whilst on the exercise walk!
Tricky one isn't it
Catch 22?Money saving expert have mentioned the same thing, but they have also said that if your vehicles MOT is due before March 30th and it fails, you aren't allowed to continue using it.

Haha! Nail on head. As it happens my previous fell terrier hated Westies after one decided to attack him while he was on a lead, amazing really because we knew this dog and Westies aren’t usually like that. And, cats, he used to go up trees after cats and I would stand underneath to catch him up when he fell out. There we go. When there's a problem, blame the dog...

Fauci really should resign in protest. I’ve read the US doctors are self prescribing chloroquine and other drugs to hoard for family, and India has banned the export of same.I feel confident that the family of this couple aren't going to be in that 60%.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/52012242
It's also depressing how often I've come across the name of Dr Anthony Fauci (Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases ) over the last few weeks as he tries to put right the misinformation being spread by his President.
Why extra risk? If mine was due it would have been done at the dealers along with the service. The technicians wear gloves, they place covers on the seats, steering wheel , gear knob and handbrake, plus the locking wheel nut socket and key/remote fob are wiped down with sanitizer on handover. Very little risk I would say.Excellent. £60 saved. A lot of extra risk saved too.

I don't know where that meaningless figure of 20 comes from - maybe a specific figure was released early in the UK epidemic and never updated? In fact most of our counted cases will be at least serious, since we are now mostly only testing hospital admissions. A minority will be critical - in reports from other countries, something like 25-30% of hospitalised cases required critical care. I think the worldometers site is good for the headline figures like counted cases and deaths, but of course they can only report the numbers they are given, which aren't always comparable between countries (e.g., the UK has many more cases than the official count, again because we are rarely testing patients outside hospitals). Not sure how accurate the figures are on this site, https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries
but it hasn't updated figures for Italy since yesterday.
Oddly the number of serious/critical in the UK has remained at 20 for a couple of weeks.
I thought the death rate went up yesterday, but infection rates are falling.
You really must stop being so upbeat.Excellent. £60 saved. A lot of extra risk saved too.
Not sure on that - they took a dose of a drug that was used for fish and not formulated for human use. Sound more like a case of stupidity than anything else.
So did I. When I told my wife there'd been a large increrase she also said it had dropped. I've just checked and this sourse..Aljazeera has it at 743 The report is timed at 13 hours ago.https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020...ccelerating-live-updates-200323234651419.html
So does France24..

But not to worry as President Trump aims to get it sorted by Easter (April 12th) and why Easter. ? "Because it's a beautiful time, a beautiful time". He wants the nation's churches to be filled with people. More likely filled with corona virus/Covid-19. It would be Lol if it wasn't so serious.
New York Mayor says that the virus is going through the city "like a bullet train". He's asked that people who left NY within the past two weeks to self-isolate at their destination. NY has, of yesterday25,000 confirmed cases.WHOI said that the US has the potential to become the world's epicentre. clearly didn't hear Trump saying the aim to have it sorted by April 12.
Now US internal flights could be brought to a halt .

In India 1.2billion people are now in total lockdown. As it was announced peoploe had time to mob the stores. How can a1.3 billion people be kept indoors ?

Re. London. When I saw the TV footage of the crowded underground I was left thinking how long will it take for the confirmed cases/deaths to really soar ? The Genie's out of the bottle on that one. No wonder there's a new hospital..Nightingale being set up within theEcXel Centre alongside the Thames. 2 X 2000-bed wards., Can you imagine being in a ward with 1999 other people all ill with a highly contagious illness. The psychological aspect, the stress, the fear will be enormous. It's bad enough in a normal ward with no contagious diseases.
Ther other issue for the UK is the inadequate testing. We get numbers of confirmed cases only and deaths of course. How can they know the real numbers for those who are positive when there are so few tests ?WHO has strongly criticised the UK re this. If you're fighting a war you need to know where the enemy is.
Well done Wales. Wrexham..N Wales first of many https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-51766298
However the locals aren't too impressed https://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/wales-first-drive-thru-coronavirus-17881412
I just get the impression as the news from China gets better we think it's going to be less of a problem here now.
I listen to Five Live a lot more these days and what's happening on the financial front is catastrophic..Many callers are in real trouble. On caller said he had sold their house but renavation of the new one is incomplete but they'll have to move out. I assume a chain is involved. It's got to the point I actually feel guilty for being in a good place and none of those sort of worries.
Thought you weren't supposed to go anywhere unless essential, especially second homes etc.Looks like Prince Charles has a mild form of it. He's at Balmoral. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52033845
Maybe William/Kate will be next https://www.townandcountrymag.com/s...iam-visit-coronavirus-ambulance-crews-photos/
They've moved to Sandringham,.Norfolk https://observer.com/2020/03/prince...royal-family-norfolk-sandringham-coronavirus/
We were talking about this yesterday. I wonder how easy it'll be to get a plumber/electrician/other in the days and weeks ahead.
My Mini dealer emailed me yesterday to say they are closing & will not be doing any servicing (mine was scheduled for next week), I am waiting to hear from Mini UK to see what will happen about maintaining the warranty if the car misses its service. It is below the mileage interval & isn't likely to travel far in the next 3 months as we have another car we can use.Why extra risk? If mine was due it would have been done at the dealers along with the service. The technicians wear gloves, they place covers on the seats, steering wheel , gear knob and handbrake, plus the locking wheel nut socket and key/remote fob are wiped down with sanitizer on handover. Since I can’t get a delivery from Sainsbury’s I‘ve opted for click & collect (not all Sainsbury’s do it). On Tuesday there was a full days slots available for today which quickly filled up while I was pondering, an hour later all day Friday was available which I grabbed. Seems a better solution that shopping in store. It’s done in the car park and there shouldn’t be much delay because they are all timed. No penalty if you don’t collect, free over £40 (£4 charge for under £40 which maybe you could offset against their coupons or going for offers if money is tight)I've just been out to buy essential medicines
Before I went I googled Corby coronovirus on the net and we are (ATM) zero infections and zero deaths.
In town the queues at ATMs and Iceland extended about 20 feet - because everyone was standing about 4-6 feet apart.
Iceland was only allowing a very small number in the store at one time and no more could go in until one came out.
At Poundland same thing.
At Boots no one was allowed in the store at all unless getting prescriptions and then only 1 person at a time.
There were staff at the doors and if you wanted anything else you had to tell them and they would bring it to the door and take your money, ring it up and then you got the goods you wanted.
There were plenty of toilet rolls available and the lady on guard at Iceland told me stocks of everything (including eggs) were virtually back to normal.
They also had a policy of allowing the elderly to shop between 9-10am and go ahead of everybody else so they could get back home quickly.
And bus passes have been extended to start at 9.00am so pensioners can get in early.
So Corby seems to be coping well with the coronovirus.
If you can find any VAT registered garage open and with time to do the work, that will maintain the warranty for you.My Mini dealer emailed me yesterday to say they are closing & will not be doing any servicing (mine was scheduled for next week), I am waiting to hear from Mini UK to see what will happen about maintaining the warranty if the car misses its service. My billionaire neighbour was flying around in his helicopter over his "second home" yesterday. Personally I would call that an unnecessary journeyThought you weren't supposed to go anywhere unless essential, especially second homes etc.

There are masks and then there are masks. There’s also proper fitting and not. Those simple ‘paper’ masks* do reduce you spraying virus over people near you but don’t stop you getting because air is getting in round the sides. Are the NHS workers wearing masks doing it for their protection or the patient?
I ask because my understanding is that ,for the public, the official line is that they're ineffective and not advised ?
