Could someone please tell me if it is possible to permanently disable the very annoying blue circled with blue line going through it filter on IE9, it drives me nuts, sometimes it will turn off when clicked on, but other times it won't, it appears to be when you have more than one browser open, when it's on it sometimes blocks videos like youtube or vimeo, anyone had dealings with this themselves ? thanks in advance

if you go into options -> safety -> tracking protection.

do you have something like "your personalized list"? right click it and disable. restart IE.

does that work?

p.s. - dont install silly toolbars like google :)

Why not ? what is wrong with them. ok this is what i am seeing on my tracking protection.

Horrid bloatware.

Do you have any 3rd party security/filtering software installed? You have a lot of tracking protection lists..

Think i've just sussed it, i have disabled my personal list on there, and it seems to have done it, i just have to switch tracking off now manually, on the sites i don't want it on, and it seems to be staying off :)

all is well that ends well :)

Not quite, seems like i may have spoke to soon, it seems to be rearing it's ugly blue head again, this bloody thing really does drive me nuts :annoyed:

Get rid of all your tracking protection add-ons and leave your personal list disabled.........simples.
