I have no problems buying things that give a lot for your money, but I really do have problems buying small things, like price per size ratio. For example, I want to buy two spare batteries for my camera, but I have not done so yet, as it will cost me £50 for two batteries. I also want a Microwave, and I can get one for £32, now that's very cheap for such a big item, so cheap in fact I am off to buy one now.

Also, never understood why my missus likes expensive rings, I mean £ thousands for a tiny bit of metal !

Just a light hearted post, not meant to be taken too seriously ! ;)

Know what you mean. Spare genuine battery for my 1Dx £130 thank you. Having said that, apart from photography I'm also into fly fishing and several years ago had a bamboo rod made for me. SWMBO stated when discovering the cost that she could have bought a cooker and dishwasher for the money I paid.

My reply was that you can't fish with a cooker. C'est La Vie

Nikon are particularly guilty of that. They seem to think that because folk will pay a lot for their cameras and accessories that they should also pay a lot for accessories. They have a hood for the 18 - 55mm Nikkor that looks like cost about 5p to make yet it costs £16 to buy.
