The value of reviews ?

Bmw is the poor mans Audi :p
Careful. You'll upset the fanboys.

Many camera reviewers are getting paid to review a camera. I suspect they feel they need to say something negative to make it feel impartial. But the underlying fact is, the more reviews they cram in, regardless of review quality, the more they get paid.

As said before, it's all about expectations, or what they are comparing it too

If reviewer A shoots with a Nikon D5 all day everyday, they won't review an entry level D3300 too favourably

I much prefer to look for comparative reviews, as they give a clearer picture as to the pro's/con's of each camera/lens compared to it's nearest rivals

Completely agree with you here. Usually someone driving a Q5 or Q7 ;)
Totally impartial as I drive a Skoda :D
The Škoda is the new Lada. Well the Lada was more upmarket in my old days in Eastern Europe. How things have changed.
