Morning all, My urge to get out with the camera seems to be falling on to the back burner.

Had lots going on lately but I look at my kit and think maybe tomorrow ha and tomorrow never comes, So yesterday bought my self a Tokina 11-16 so I hope when that comes the spark will be back :|

Here's hoping any way

I was getting like that, just sold my 6 yr old D300 and got a D7100 because I wanted to. I love it and am getting that buzz back. Just picked up a Tamron 90 to get into some macro again too!
We are going to get the Tokina 11-16 too, time to enjoy photography again (y)

Good luck with it

If your motivation to take photographs relies on buying new lenses, I think you need to think about why you take photographs.

I'm just suggesting that maybe thinking about why you have no urge to take photographs in the first place would help solve the problem as the novelty of a new lens will quickly wear off, and then you're back to square one.

For me, we have done a lot of event stuff with horses lately which doesn't make me want to pick up my camera as much in my 'spare' time. It was why I love photography (and got into eventing) in the first place that has made me have a rethink.

Sometimes a bit of new gear just gives you the extra kick to get out and makes you realise why you love it.

Maybe think about why you want the wide lens and get out there and enjoy it. That's what I intend to do more of when the Tamron arrives! :)
