Ups - The weather this morning was nice, with some lovely light, and I managed to shoot a full roll of 36exp Kodak Colorplus while wandering a former industrial area of the city. I also shot a full roll of 120 Tri-X doing practice portraits of my family this afternoon. :)

Downs - I dropped my Sekonic L-208 light meter on the pavement while trying to meter a shot on the Vito B and it now appears to be completely knackered, so that'll cost me a not inconsiderate sum to replace (and teach me the valuable lesson of "buy a lanyard"). :(

Oh Dear, I have the L-208 and it comes with a lanyard. I am sorry for your loss.

When you are me, you quickly learn to have some sort of strap on everything! My initial thought was that at least it was not the Vito B but I suspect that would be cheaper to replace.

Sorry to hear that, Nige; and there was me feeling sorry for myself that I has to work most of the day so missed most of the sunshine - I did manage a few shots in the garden with the EOS 30 at lunchtime though. Just a thought, might Miles Whitehead (or Sekonic) be able to fix it?

Thanks. I bought mine second-hand and, while it came with the pouch and hot-shoe adapter, the lanyard wasn't included. I kept meaning to buy one, but forgot,
its a bit horse/door/bolted but drop me a pm with your details and i will put a neck or wrist lanyard in the post for you so its ready for your replacement/fix

Ouch :(

Could be worse though! I’ve heard of people watching the lens fall off the front of their LF camera into the sea before :/
(Didn't want to click Like, to express sympathy...)

Ouch again. Sounds terrible. Who could be so careless????:D

Thanks. I didd wonder about a repair, but I think the cost of a repair (if it's even possible) might be prohibitive. Also, my better half has allowed me to order a new one. I did ask if she'd mind me replacing it with a more advanced model, but this met with a frown. :D

Thanks Nik. As above, I've ordered a replacement which (should) come with a lanyard. Attaching that will be the first job (even before inserting the battery)!
