Not everyone is a "sheep" or pretends to be a photographer. They can't be arsed to sit though and crop or delete photos and has no idea what makes a good composition or what's wrong with their photos so they just upload them all :P

They see the moment it was taken and remember that but you just see their rendition of it which is different altogether.

Isn't it cheering that the 'sheep' still take poor pictures? If everyone always took great photos then no-one would need pro photographers so you should be glad :D

There are those who see a pencil as something to write on a toilet wall with, and those who see it as a means to exercise and express their talent and skill.

Photography is no different... Although I suspect we're a lot more snooty about it simply because we see it as an art form.

I might be a rubbish photographer, but I'm the best when I go out for a day trip with my family...

lol thats how i look at it, i may be classed as an amateur on a photography site like this one but to friends and family i am the dog dangly bits and they can not for the love of them see why im not a pro full-time photographer

I wonder what this says more about, the feelings of photographers towards the general public or the old saying "Ignorance is bliss".

It did tickle me somewhat though!

These are so true, lol. I get random people turning up asking me questions cos some member of my family has told them I am an expert! Lucky i am fluent in BS :-)

Indeed, I, too, found myself nodding my head in agreement. :D

Great stuff. Never seen that family guy episode. Which series is that?

Shouldn't the 2nd to last photographer pane read "uploads to flickr for hundreds of generic, meaningless ego-massaging messages, back slapping and group invites"? :D
