The TP'ers 52 challenge for 2020 The discussion thread Week 52 Decor(ate)

Had a thought to show the books I have that helped me develop my photographic ability VERY tenuous tho

Apologies for not commenting / photographing so much of late. Keeping all the balls in the air is definitely a challenge so far in 2020!!

On the plus side, I have my Ability shot and it was taken in the correct week but I have yet to get my Broken image. I know what I want to do, it's simply the time to set it up. :runaway:

Certainly doesn't sound like he was riding defensively
Unfortunately riding defensively does not help sometimes, just got back from helping a mate who got knocked off as I followed him into a round about, lost his spleen, broken collar bone, six broken ribs! Big thank you to the ambulance crew, Swindon A&E and Southmeed ICU. Seething at the moron who did not look and clammed he was going too fast, I was catching him up and was only doing twenty miles an hour!

I’d agree with that. ^

I commute by cycle every day and there are times when you simply cannot predict what people are going to do.

It’s incredible how often I’ve heard SMIDSY (Sorry Mate I Didn’t See You) over the years. It also shocks me how skewed most people’s attitudes are to assuming that it’s always the cyclists fault.

A friend of mine was recently knocked off his bike by a lorry turning right across oncoming traffic. Absolutely and categorically the lorry driver’s fault, yet the police advised my friend to slow down in the future. Meanwhile, the lorry driver took no blame and wasn’t in the least sorry for causing it.

As can be seen from some of the comments here. far to many people do not understand the rules of the road and pull out without checking for bikes, they seam to think that because they have to sit and wait in their steel boxes everyone else should, that is why so many people think it is the bikes fault. Ignorance. Filtering is not dangerous if only car drivers would indicate and check their mirrors before manoeuvring just as the highway code tells you!

Seriously? I Think this is the first time that I've ever had to stop a scrap in the 52's
It ends now.

It's only Tuesday - well at least it is here in Scotland!!

@Dave70D - shame, but understandable as it's quite a commitment.

About a week after I signed up for this, someone started a weekly photography club at work. So I'm trying desperately to have shots that work for both.

Some 'Wild' shots from here became 'Nature' shots at work. And this weeks 'Ability' shot became 'Action' at work.

I did think about trying to convince them to follow the same themes.

You'll be missed @Dave70D . Your enthusiasm for the new themes is infectious and I enjoyed seeing your take on them.

Oh Dave, come back soon. Don't take too long off as it will be harder to start again.

Sorry to hear that @Dave70D. I hope you pop back in at some point

Thanks folks, the 52 is like having a pint to me ie I can take it or leave it. I will be back even if it`s in the summer as it wont take long to catch up so see you all soon.

More like being hooked on drugs, you can't leave it alone ... :p

See you tomorrow Dave (y)

@Dave70D - I've not been doing this very long but obviously you're a very lively and active member of the "team". Hope you're back soon.

@Dave70D

Best to take a break from it all and chill out.

Come back all refresh when you're ready.

Oh, btw have you placed your order for the X-T4 yet? :)

And don't forget its Themeday tomorrow! ;)

I don`t really think the T4 is worth upgrading too as I already have the H1, but I have put in an order for the Fuji XF80mm macro, and thinking what X100V to go for either silver or black

I'm tempted by the X-T4 as an upgrade to the X-Pro2 - I just wish the X-Pro3 had a conventional or X-T4 style rear screen :(

Anyhoo.... Thursday Eve Happy Dance :D :woot::woot::woot::banana:

I was wondering if I was in the right place for a minute. All this Fuji talk and where are you going @Dave70D? Come back! Seriously I have more time this time around, but in 2017 I really struggled to get any of the images in on time.

Anyway I just popped in to remind everyone today is WEDNESDAY and tomorrow is THURSDAY. I seemed to have trouble with that last week

I awoke to an inch of snow this morning,
A stark reminder that its still Winter!

Also, folks. It's the last week for silhouette technique if you haven't already.

Hmm... we've had half an hour of sleet this morning and forecast pouring rain for next two days... doesn't look very "wintry". Coffee and thinking cap on :coffee:

What woke Cobra up so early today, give it another hour and all the snow will have melted.

Pete

Well I screwed that up.
The snow has all gone now ...
But I do have a shoe horn idea as a back up ;)
