The TP'ers 52 challenge for 2020 The discussion thread Week 52 Decor(ate)

I must apologies for being very lax with commenting on others images in the last couple of weeks. Life has become a bit hectic at present and finding the time to comment has been quite hard. There are some cracking images being posted and it's really impressive to see how good fellow togs on the forum actually are.

Don`t worry Jim as it`s not easy to comment on every shot, what I`m doing now is just commenting on shots I like or repaying a comment.

Come on, snakey got a new camera today and chomping at the bit for a subject to go and ruin!:runaway:

I was wondering yesterday, how much does this 52 challenge take you out of your comfort zone or away from what you usually photograph?
I know that some on here are mainly wildlife or landscape photographers.

P.S. it's gone 12 o'clock, so I'm waiting for that theme.

I think one of the big benefits of the Challenge is that it allows you to try things you would not normally do. I certainly have pushed myself in all different directions in the past year. Some of the things I have tried I have been happy with, others not so much. But the feedback side of the Challenge is really good. We are not too judgemental of others' images and it is all done in a friendly and supportive environment.

I don't really have a 'thing' as such. As I guess I'm yet to find out what I like photographing - other than my friends.

I take my camera when I go places, rather than go places with my camera if that makes sense. So for me, I'm hoping it gets me out and about more often generally.

Another nasty storm predicted this week-end. I'm pretty sure there will be quite a few things ....

I mainly shoot landscapes.. haven't the patience for wildlife (well, apart from the odd pig) so I do try and fit the theme around this. The main bonus of (trying) to do the 52 is to get me out of the door with my camera. There are too many times when other things/people are given priority. At least once a week I now have to get my bottom into gear and take some photos which generally for me includes a walk and some fresh air.

Oh! do tell
Only a little Panny GX880, a little pocket camera for when we take the dog and the bird for a walk! Does great selfies though, be warned!:p

Edit Broken! Great subject for a selfie! How fortuitous!

Are you listening Tim?
Dom has it, hit the damned thing with Lucile :p
I love Floyd. Echos is a particular favourite. But the Easy All Stars Moon is brilliant in it's own way.

Spreadsheet up to date. I make that 13 signups who didn't turn up for week 1.
I've left @Roxanne Withy Off the Wall (see what I did there) for now as she only signed up in Feb

I need to go through mine again, just to double check :D

Just need blue skies for my shot, as might not have to use Liminar 4  As I know just what shot to take :snaphappy:

Goodness Dave, you are well organised this year! I think almost every week you have got your shot worked out within minutes of the theme being posted!

Echos is a particular favourite.
So many great tunes / songs, but yes Echo's is right up there (y)
Pet hates, music wise, reggae, Dub and rap ( the "C" is silent in the latter :D )
edit And now thanks to Tim ( @LC2 )I've found another pet hate Nightcore (y)

Cool, so you're okay with Nightcore then :)
I have no idea what that is, but a nano second preview and its added to my hate list (y)

Broken... Self-portrait of me, now, straight after 3 hour exam for work.....

But will think of something better for the actual submission

Very much agreed! I'm enjoying "having" to go out and take photos more often, and surprisingly enjoying shooting to a specific theme / "commission".

Now - what can I go and break... :bat:
