Since the 1960s, the UK has been my home on 3 occasions, the last time being this time when I came in October 2007.
As always, I thoroughly and truly enjoyed every moment of my time here, but sadly all things must come to an end, and due to unforeseen (but expected in a way) circumstances I now have to pack-up and am ready to go back home.
Although, when I am not living here, I frequently visit – sometimes as much as 4 times in a year, still it is not the same as living here.
In a weird way, I have always felt the UK to be more my home than my country of origin. May be because of the number of years / decades I spent out of my country? May be because I spent most of my childhood and teen-years here?
In this past 19 months Talkphotography has been a huge part of my life, and I hope it continues to be so in the years to come; because of this forum I have managed to see the UK from a different perspective, because of this forum I’ve found photography even more enjoyable.
I wish I had the time and space to list the names of each individual here who’s made things that much better for me, but the list is huge .. so ..
.. To all of TP owners, administrators, moderators and members, thank you for making it such.
Although the Internet makes the world a smaller place, where it’s easy to keep in touch, there are things that just can’t be done over the web, as nothing beats living here, it’s as if the UK is the centre of the world! While I can access, I hope, TP from Saudi, it just isn’t the same and I don't know when, or how often, I will be able to access the Internet (too many things to take care of).
If any of you come along my part of the world, Saudi Arabia, I hope I can make your stay there as enjoyable as you’ve all made my stay here.
