I'm off work, a bit ill, and very bored, so I've opened my back door, placed my camera (Sony a200 with Sigma 70-300) on the kitchen table, and I'm waiting for something - ANYTHING- to venture into my garden so I can photograph it :shake:

Am I the saddest person in the world or does this behaviour ring any bells with you fine people?

Thats rubbish. At least set up a webcam so we can share your pain :D

I have had a tripod camera and lens pointing into the garden for weeks now and only managed a couple of poor bird shots

I'm also off from work for a couple weeks due to illness.
I've fitted a bird feeder to the side of the shed and spend hours sat waiting for the chance to capture a birdie or two.
Nothing so far and the boredom is driving me nuts.

I put a steering wheel down me trousers and it's having the same effect :naughty:

I would 'LOL' but I don't want to encourage you so I'll settle for 'groan' :D

It's just this thread and I'll have you know I am bored not mental!
I have a certificate to prove it :D

I dunno, if you want a teknikel chalinge, see if you can set up some sort of motion sensitive trigger to set the camera off when summat moves, then you can go down the pub n see if its caught anyfink when you get back...

yeah then itll be £££££££££££££ to get the equipment! :)

Hmm...I can see the following happening.
Get back from pub in a drunken state, walk over to tripod, accidently kick it thus knocking it over, try to catch only it to see the camera hit the deck resulting in one knackered lens.
Nah, I don't think I'll risk it :D

That's why you all need webcams, so we can tell you what you missed while you were out of the room.:p

I'll join the club - perhaps we ought for start a thread for sicko's. I'm struggling with a bad back.

I'm with you Dave....4 weeks and can't even lift a nifty (haven't actually got one but I imagine it'd feel heavy)
