Yes
When we clear out the garage.

Forgot I had this, and was quite expensive in it's day. Seems to be in full working order, and I've just taken out a 36 exposure roll of Agfa HDC Plus 200. No idea what's on it...

So who else had one of these? And for those that didn't, do you know why it's so special?

Never heard of it but the "AW" was a clue that made me think of waterproof...........to find it is apparently "all weather, underwater" camera.

A rare find if in good working order?

The seals are still perfect, in fact, the batteries still had enough power to rewind the film that was in it... Great thing about it being totally weather sealed it that you can just wipe it over with a damp cloth!! The soft case needs a good clean, but I'm quite pleased I found it, may well buy some film and put it to work again. It runs on a pair of AA cells, and because of the sealing, the batteries hadn't corroded and just need to be replaced.

Haven't shot film in years....

Feel the nostalgia as you run a roll of film through it. Remember it’s film so don’t pixel peep the results. :)

Unless it's something like Kodak Ektar 100, in which case it will stand quite a bit of peeping even with 35mm. :)

Why not pop into the Film and Conventional section, Steve, and see what fun we have with film? Lots of info in there about current film types and the best labs to send your film to for developing too. As for the camera, why not load it up with Ilford XP2 400 ISO black and white and try some moody looking street photography on a wet day? (y)

I still have my EOS 620, which I picked up on the day it was released (I turned from Nikon to Canon at this point) although I've let all my lenses go, so need a lens for it.

@Mr Badger - That sounds like a good idea, although I'm not really into street, it doesn't to that much for me. Could do some moody city scapes though...

If you're thinking about a lens for your 620 then you could do worse than think about a Canon EF 28-135 IS f/3.5-5.6, probably around £120 to £150 for a good one with 6 months guarantee from a shop/dealer. A handy walk around lens and not far off L glass sharpness (24-105 type) if you get a good one! Anyway, see how you go with the moody cityscapes from the Nikon first... and don't forget to share your results in the F&C section. (y)

I owned a L35AWAF, the only Nikon I’ve ever owned. It was a stunning compact for its day.
