Just thought that I would post a few more up to date pics of the studio. I have just recently fitted wall booms on the left hand wall and they are a god send as they save so much valuable floor space. I don't think that I need any more rolls of paper for a while  We have been in there a few months now and have just started doing shoots with Lambretta scooters. I will post more images as we go on but i just thought that i would share these few with you all. Feel free to let me know what you think

How easy it is to hate someone you don't even know!!

Seriously - looking really good.

lookin good - so jealous!!!

Cheers guys......thanks. It took a long time but its getting there now. Will take a few more pics over the next few weeks as it changes....

Right then....one thing missing from the studio was reflector boards. Black one side and white the other for high/low key set ups. I wanted the proper 8'x4' poly boards which i managed to source locally. The only problem is that instead of coming in the normal white colour they had black flecs in them  Not to worry though. Matt black paint on one side then white on the other. This is how they are looking so far....

looking good
where did you source the wall booms?

Wall booms were sourced from Calumet. Mega strong and proper solid they are. I was looking at the Manfrotto ones which are around the £100 mark. These were sourced from Calumet on ebay for £39 each.

thanks Deano
just looked
they're only doing the Manfrotto ones now :(

Thats probably why they cleared them all on ebay. You cant imagine how much floor space they have saved me. Give me two mins and let me see where else does them

Maybe a new roll of white :D

Studio is looking good mate.

Del

Yeah thanks Del. I did a shoot with a Lambretta scooter and didn't realise how much the tyres would mark the paper. They ruined it to be honest. However it was ideal for painting the reflector boards

looks good! I spy a habitat red stool, I have three a white and a black too, very useful they are. I just got my studio up and running this week, I will post some pics when I get round to it, quick question, where did you get the stands that you are using for your reflectors?

thanks

Adeyb

You have the eyes of a hawk to spot that stool! Yeah the reflector holders are a special piece of kit sourced for me by a friend. Not cheap, but the proper job.

ive just ordered a couple of these, look up to the job!

£15 from ebay

2 1/4" ish,(wheel width of a mountain bike plus..) a bit of bending maybe

As well as wall boom arms, you can also get scissor style booms which offer more vertical adjustment. The reantal studio I use has both types, and the scissor one wins hand down for me.
