Hey All, First off apologies for not posting this sooner - I wanted to make sure that I could keep it up before posting onto TP.

I am currently at Day 39 so think I am ready for posting. As from tomorrow I will be posting each days shot into this first post to make it easy for all to keep up to date.

The inspiration to do the 365 is mainly because I have seen how much it can improve a persons photography - especially with good C&C from you fine TPers. Please feel free to give the pictures both barrels! Thank you for accompanying me on this journey!

Firstly I have to say I have a lot of respect for all of you guys who do the 365's, it takes a lot of dedication to do this!

I like all of your shots so far and look forward to seeing more. I like how you have captured natural moments.

I'll comment on my favourites of yours so far...

Day 1
I think Day 1 is the kids on the bench. I love the lighting and contrast in this picture, I wouldn't change anything. Its an image which could have a story, something I like.

Day 6
Again an image that could easily have multiple stories. I like washed out colours and contrast. I also like the attention to detail of having the garage pillars in line with the frame and a crop that results in the garage doors on the left and right being evenly visible.

Day 10
Nice lighting, good exposure, maybe crop off the corner at the bottom of the image then the left hand walkway would finish centrally in the frame. I like the twinkle on the lights and the presence of the moon which isn't imposing.

Day 12
Simple but very effective, just a very nice shot.

Day 14
I like random people shots so this works for me, good DoF and nice crop allowing you to see the path ahead.

Day 16
Nice lighting, bokeh and DoF.

Day 18
I like the background colours and the sharpness of the dragon fly and post.

Day 31
I love Edinburgh, one of if not my favourite city. Harsh lighting around the castle works, I don't know what you have done with the colours but I like it.

Day 40
Mmmmm Stella. I like Stella and this image makes me want to drink one!

Day 1

It was at a wedding and a complete grab shot - I loved the way the lass was sat at the end of the bench swinging her legs.

Day 6

You are bang on about cropping - the hotspot draws the eye away from the main and into the bottom right. Thank you!

Day 12

Edinburgh was beautiful - my first time there and I absolutely loved it! There was too much awesome food and great bars to get a lot of togging done!

A great start to your 365. Every picture is good in some way and you are obviously putting a lot of work into it. Your TP day photo is superb. I like the BW conversions especially day 30. The legs on day 26 are different and Hope's shoes have lovely colours. I will look forward to seeing the rest of the year.

well, i have arrived at this 365 a bit late in the day. can't comment on all the previous as there is too much. i have looked through it and am impressed with the quality of the pictures and a lot of the ideas. i will be following with interest...
