The TP 52 - 2025 The Sign-Up and Chat thread - Week 52 New

I can’t even post my second week due to the nuance of my photo and the complete loss of it in trying to get it down to size for the forum. Now this? My boss is gonna be p***ed when she notices that the sharpie is missing before walking into the kitchen! Time to bow out gracefully
As @lindsay says, a free flickr account is the way forward. You can host up to 1,000 photos for free and link them here.

Yes, they do get crunched a little bit, but I think it's better than compressing them for the forum.

Of course, it's your choice whether to continue or not, but I enjoy a bit of lateral thinking when the subject isn't easy for me.

I think its a tough subject this week. Easy to take a simple pic of it but not so easy to put a more interesting slant on it. Hmmmm

I find it problematic to differentiate between graffiti with all its negative connotations and street art.

The 52 is for you to make what you wish of it - hard or easy, or inbetween. Street Art is fine, tags are fine, you choose

Graffiti is done without conent / permission. Street art is commisioned / done with authorisation.

As lindsay has said - either is ok this week.

Hahahaaa - got me a Graffiti pic with no Graffiti on today! :D

@hughlle Regarding photo size, you have two options: depending on your editing software, use export and set the maximum file size of the output to 500kb - that's for directly uploading to the thread. Alternatively, set up a free Flickr account, upload to there at full size and then use the output feature and BBCode option for max px of 1024 on the longest edge, and paste the link it gives you.
Thanks. Think I’m going to give it a pass though. I find myself so limited in upload ability that I might as well shoot everything with my X10 or iPhone 11, so why bother with the Q3 etc, regrading the forum. I’ll check in for the theme each week but will just meep it for myself and my wall space.

Really struggling to find some graffiti here! Never mind, I think it'll b a catch-up for me. Moving on, in the Morning Light we might gain inspiration...

Morning light? EEEEEK! I'll have to get out of bed early!!!!!

I have a cunning plan :)

No need to give up - rules uh well guidelines... may be you'll find something in the future (last year I posted pretty much it all in the last few days)

b****r, rain forecast every day until Wednesday here. Might be a challenge lol

I wonder how many photos of alarm clocks are planned.

Snooze and then back to bed.

:)

I know, would you believe it, I didn't look at the forecast before I picked that theme! Still there might be some strange light in between rain

I'm really enjoying this challenge, it's really got me thinking about trying to capture something with a unique take, but the better weather and longer days can't come soon enough, it opens up so many more possibilities, we're nearly at the end of Jan now, so not too long to wait!!

I think I’m going to have to get creative this week. I don’t actually have ever have a morning free. If I’m not working it’s school run, taking daughter dancing or son footballing. I foresee a shoehorn :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I know I'm late to the game, am I too late for the 2025 52?

raining again here

I managed to get some Morning Light this morning at last - ish, to be posted later. Meanwhile what can I choose next for the week's theme? A bit less weather dependent I think....

...but then I realised it's a Snappers Choice week! Yay!!

I'm cogitating on the subject folks - considering the list of possibilities...

As the sun is low in the sky, at least here in the UK, it seems a good time of year to take advantage of the Silhouettes that occur so easily when togging...

Ooo. Looking forward to this one. Hopefully the weather plays!

This weekend has been grey grey grey. I have a rather dull backup pic, but I’m hoping for some afternoon light next week where I can grab something, anything!!

Same here @cuthbert - just when I had the opportunity to get out with a camera, the weather gods decided otherwise
