My word, all this inactivity on my part, then two posts come along at once! It's like buses, ain't it?!

Anyway, for those that want to venture out on a cold February evening to listen to some good cranked southern rock, I've got a few gigs lined up with Mike from Lynyrd Skynyrd... Be great to hook up...!

Feb 1st - The Robin 2, Wolverhampton
Feb 2nd - The Boom Boom Club, Sutton, Surrey
Feb 3rd - The Flowerpot, Derby
Feb 4th - The Ferry, Glasgow
Feb 5th - The Boardwalk, Sheffield
Feb 8th - The Thomas Tripp, Christchurch, Dorset
Feb 9th - The Half Brick, Worthing (bring your drinking heads to this one!)
Feb 10th - The DugOut, Farnborough
Feb 12th - The Apollo, Barcelona
Feb 13th - Heineken Festival, Madrid

Like I said, be great to see fellow togs there! :thumbs:

EDIT: The name of the band is Skinny Molly, btw!
 
Thats some travelling between gigs! Would have come to the Derby one if I was still there :( Sounds fun though :D

It sure is, but that's half the fun! Skipton's quite a way from anywhere, really!

I might come along to the Robin 2, good venue.. they usually way overcharge on entry though, how much is it?

What, how much to see an ex-Skynyrd player with his new toy? (1955 Les Paul!) Hahaha!

I'm not honestly sure, Nath, I only play the 2nd guitar, and have nothing to do with promotion or tickets! Check the Robin website out... should be on there, matey! :thumbs:
 
my ex works in Christchurch......if i still lived down south i would have made every effort to go to that one!

Nice to have you back in the fold as it were....

I might be up for the The Flowerpot gig as its only down the road from me, just need to check me dates and all.

Trying to find info on the flowerpot now, looks like tickets are £10.
Will phone them tomorrow to see if you can take pics etc....no point in taking the cam if they won't let it in.
 
From a personal perspective, I don't mind in the least! You won't be able to see me eyes under me hat anyway! :thumbs:
 
Same here with the support act we had, thinking about it. A guy called Gwyn Ashton. I was taking a few of him... Hahaha! If you like low-down and dirty blues (think Rory Gallagher), he's your man!

Like I said, there are so many places we'd have loved to do. bristol, wales, liverpool, loads of stuff!

Actually, I've never been to a gig at the Junction after living in Cambridge for 6 years............ :lol:
 
Well, we didn't actually get to see as much as we wanted to :( Goodness, he was HUGE) but - to rub salt in he put his kid on his shoulders.... Neanderthals still roam the earth...... :lol:

Well I was just thinking that I too might try & make the Robin gig if Fi is definately going.
A Thurs might be awkward for me but, god do I need a night out!

It's Cherrywood Road, Farnborough, GU14 8UD - at the football club... Hope to see you there! :thumbs:
 
OK Folks, its the first gig of the tour tonite....Robin 2, Wolverhampton :woot:

£10 per ticket

there is a support band called Slowburner, not heard them before but they sound interesting, check out the Robin's website.

I guarantee you will have a GREAT night if you come along... :thumbs:
