The Rule Of Twos

Ok, I may have made this up myself, but it seems to apply on all my images... example...

I process this one image, and find I quite like it. I then go back to it later and try again...

I now find myself liking this one more, no matter what else I do to it, the second image looks best.

Anyone else find this? I tend to use it as a rule now, process an image as I would like, then scrap it and do it again, I tend to favour the second image

I use the 'Rule of Turds' myself...

If you think it may be a Turd - it's a Turd

If you think it's just 'Ok' - it's a Turd

If you think it's brill - it's probably not a Turd (doesn't mean it's brill though)

I find that if I process a photo then come back to it a few hours later I'll often wonder what the heck I was thinking the first time.

Agreed I find that mine are often better unprocessed as I get very stuck/confused/frustrated if they need more than a little contrast tweak and slight sherpening
